From Isolation to Intention:

Reimagining Shared Scripture in YouVersion

Spiritual formation is often communal. The shared Bible reading feature in YouVersion seeks to foster collective engagement, yet inconsistent participation tracking and unclear activity signals undermine trust and shared accountability.

This case study redesigns the experience to align interface behavior with spiritual intention. By improving activity accuracy, clarifying engagement states, and strengthening structured reflection, the revised design restores visibility, connection, and confidence within shared plans — supporting a truly communal rhythm of Scripture reading.
