The Contingency Argument
Women in Apologetics
October 31, 2025
The Contingency Argument invites us to reflect on why anything exists at all. It observes that everything in the universe is contingent—dependent on something else for its existence. Nothing in creation carries within itself the reason for its own being. This chain of dependence naturally points to a necessary being, one whose existence is not contingent but self-sufficient—God, the Creator who grounds all reality.
At its heart, the argument asks a simple but profound question: Why is there something rather than nothing? By exploring the contingency of the world around us, we are led to consider the One whose existence sustains and gives purpose to all else.

The Teleological Argument
Women in Apologetics
October 16, 2025
The Teleological Argument, often called the “argument from design,” invites us to see the world as more than random chance. It observes order, purpose, and intricate complexity in the universe—patterns that suggest intelligence behind creation. From the precise laws of physics to the delicate balance of ecosystems, the natural world reflects a wisdom that points beyond itself.
At its heart, the argument is simple: complexity, purpose, and design imply a Designer. By examining the harmony and intentionality woven throughout creation, the Teleological Argument provides a reasoned pathway to understanding God’s existence—not as a distant abstraction, but as the One who carefully and lovingly sustains all things.

Why Did Jesus Have to Die on the Cross?
Women in Apologetics
August 6, 2025
The death of Jesus on the cross is the central act of God’s love and redemption. In this singular moment, mercy met justice, and the weight of humanity’s brokenness was borne by the One who is both fully God and fully man. The cross is not only a historical event—it is a living testament to God’s grace, revealing the depth of His commitment to restore creation and reconcile humanity to Himself.
Through the cross, we see the profound intersection of suffering and hope, justice and forgiveness. It invites reflection on the cost of sin, the power of sacrificial love, and the promise of new life. Jesus’ death is both a call to trust and a model for living—a reminder that ultimate victory comes not through power, but through surrender to God’s will.

A Defense of the Doctrine of Hell: Is it Just?
Women in Apologetics
May 21, 2025
“The one certainty we all share is that life on this earth will one day end. Regardless of our beliefs, backgrounds, or experiences, death is a reality we cannot escape. Yet, what sets us apart is not the inevitability of death itself but what we believe comes after-our hopes, our fears, and the faith we place in what lies beyond.”

Embracing the Holistic Benefits of Sabbath Rhythms
Doctoral Dissertation Entry
October 22, 2023
Sabbath rhythms are more than just benefits; they are blessings. I cannot place fully into words just how much of a blessing it has been to embrace Sabbath rhythms. What I can say is, my family’s life has been enriched, not just our lives, but those around us. I do not take it casually that God has placed us in a thriving community. We have been blessed to do life with people that value what God values. Something about this season of our lives has blessed our lives in ways that I would have never imagined. And I believe Sabbath rhythms is a central part of that. Sabbath has not become a natural part of who we are, and in short, a part of those we invite to live life alongside us.

Cultivating Sabbath Rhythms in Daily Life
Doctoral Dissertation Entry
October 15, 2023
There is something so valuable about intentional cultivation. Just as a farmer invests his time, talent, and treasure into producing a fruitful harvest from his field, so we must also see our lives worthy of cultivation. If we take our time to sit at the feet of those who live fruitful lives, not just for their own sake, but for the sake of those whose lives they touch, we will recognize something central to who they are; their investment matches their desired outcome. They cultivate rhythms that are life-giving and produce fruitful rewards…But we must remember that a flowing river of peace and rest will not come by our hustle, it can only come by the hands of the one who created us to be whole, Jesus.

Keeping a Sabbath or the Sabbath
Doctoral Dissertation Entry
October 8, 2023
It might not seem like much of a difference, but there is a difference between keeping a Sabbath and keeping the Sabbath. To be honest, initially, I did not think there was a difference. It was in a discussion with my professor that it all began to make sense. Up to this point, we have been speaking about both. It may seem like a subtle difference based on one word, but it is much more meaningful when we can distinguish the two…

Sabbath is NOT Just a Day Off!
Doctoral Dissertation Entry
October 1, 2023
In my last blog post, we explored what the Bible has to say about the Sabbath, its purpose, and how we can apply it to our lives. This week, I want to delve deeper into the meaning of the Sabbath. As I previously shared, we were created to live in union with our Creator. Our lives were supposed to coexist with our heavenly Father. Anything less is a shadow of the existence we were designed to thrive in. However, our tendency to fill our every waking moment with restless and relentless activity leads us to the false belief that somehow, we can add God to our day, and find the gift of rest that we were created to live from.

Introduction to the Sabbath
Doctoral Dissertation Entry
September 21, 2023
The Sabbath has become a popular word in the Christian conversation, Sabbath derives from the Hebrew šabbāṯ, from the root šāḇaṯ, ‘to cease’, ‘to desist.”[2] However, a simple assessment of the current climate reveals that it is evident that we have yet to take hold of its reality in our lives. Over the last few years, we have witnessed more overwhelm and depression than any other time in history. Pastors and factory workers alike are beginning to awaken to the realization that something is missing. No matter what we do, we cannot seem to get rid of the buzzing in our minds…Our very soul cries out for the answer that was there from the very beginning of time. It is so close but seems so far out of reach. That something, that answer begging for our attention, ceasing or resting, the Sabbath.
